After a first viewing of the British import "The Office" I wasn't sure how I felt about it. The accents were thick and the British-English dialect and slang took some getting used to.
Sorry to all of you who perked up and thought that The Clarion had special, pre-released viewing rights to the "New Moon" movie. We don't. We can try but I believe that getting press passes to see President Obama was infinitely easier. But don't despair, the "New Moon" novel is also worthy of your time.

Fiddler master Alasdair Fraser and Juilliard graduate Natalie Haas are a talented duo who take Scottish music and play it with the spirit and drive associated with Celtic fiddle music but give it extra poise and innovativeness. Fraser's violin and Haas' cello create gorgeous variations and interpretations of traditional tunes employing the rigidity and technical virtuosity of classical music with the melodies and rhythm of Scottish folk music.
Strollers Theatre's latest production, "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940" is an energetic, clever comedy with many dark and mysterious twists that serve to intrigue the audience through to the play's conclusion. The play is set in the library of the home of Elsa Von Grossenkneueten (played by Joan Cappelle), an eccentric patron of the arts who lives with her erratic and mysterious maid, Helsa Wenzel (Liz Angle).
